Production

Since its launch and up to the end of October 1997, 861,689 Xantias have been produced. This figure consists of 83 340 Estates (produced since June 95) and 448 511 Diesels. Diesels account for 52% of the production. Of the 1997 production, the Estate accounts for 22.6%. The average production rate for 1997 is 626 Xantia's per day.

France

In France 323,036 Xantia's have been registered since launch. In 1997, by the end of October, 44,242 Xantia's (including 10.1% wagons) were registered with a penetration of 16.7% in the M2 segment. The Diesel share is 62.1%.

Export

The part of production destined for export was 61.6% as from launch. In 1997, it was 61.2%. The main European markets are Spain, Great Britain, Belgium and Germany. Wagon sales outside France account for more than 30% of the total.
