ATECO EXPANDS ALL ITS BRANDS

Ateco Automotive Pty Ltd is celebrating substantial growth in all its main business activities with the latest official car sales figures reporting that the three brands the Sydney-based company imports and distributes all showing sales increases.

Leading the pack is Ateco's newest acquisition, Kia, with a remarkable sales increase of 175 per cent over the same period last year. This has been driven by the Kia Carnival, which dominates the MPV market sector, and the freshly launched Kia Rio, which has set a new benchmark in the highly competitive $14,990 market sector.

Alfa Romeo, one of the world's best-known brands has seen a 76 per cent month on month increase with strong demand for its sports cars, as well as its top seller, the Alfa 156.

Demonstrating Ateco's marketing versatility, Citroën, meanwhile, has recorded a 31 per cent sales increase driven by the Citroen Berlingo van. These sales figures come just days after Ateco was awarded for the third year running the title of Warn Winches largest overseas distributor.

"There is no doubt that this year has been a tough one for the car market," says Neville Crichton, Managing Director of Ateco Automotive. "So these sales figures are all the more gratifying. They are a reflection not just of the superb products that Ateco distributes, but also the hard work put in by both our staff and our dealers across Australia. Now that the car market is showing real signs of growth again, post GST, we expect these figures and our position in the market to only improve."
