The roomy passenger compartment is enhanced
by the interior styling of the vehicle, which is bright, practical and
ergonomic, with a high-quality finish.
The single-piece dashboard is of a harmonious
and modern design.
It is made of a thick grained, synthetic material in
dark, matt colouring. All the driving aids are displayed in an ergonomic
layout.
The dashboard has two recesses for audio
equipment (a car radio and a CB or other appliance), one of which is concealed
by a flap. It is also equipped with two gloveboxes, one of which is lockable.
This glovebox is extremely spacious and its capacity is not altered by the
air-conditioning option. The inner lining of the lid is designed to take a pen
and to hold two cups or cold drinks placed in deep recesses.
The upper part of the dashboard, hollowed out
on the passenger side, can be used to store small objects such as glasses and
cigarettes. In front of the gear lever on the central console, a partitioned
cubby is provided to store audio cassettes.
Two large stowage cubbies in the inner
linings of the side doors can be used to store objects as large as a 1.5 litre
bottle and a note pad. A coat hook is provided behind each seat.
The Berlingo is equipped with a clever and
innovative multi-function passenger seat. In just a few seconds, the
comfortable seat with its adjustable headrest becomes a functional work
surface. A thick, generously dimensioned table appears when the seat back is
fold down onto the seat. The table is fitted with a strap to hold documents in
place, a pencil case and two recesses for holding cups.
The seat can be tipped over completely to
reveal a vast 100 cm³ chest, whose contents are protected from prying
eyes. In this position, the seat makes an additional loading space available,
for storing objects of up to 2.10 m in length across a width of 500
mm.
The simple forms of the roomy loading area
with its compact wheel arches and large rear entrance, enable the occupants to
make maximum use of the useful space. The generous space between the wheel
arches and the size of the entrance make it possible to store
pallets.
